How long will this boring transfer saga last?

Time and time again i find myself in the summer time doing absolutely nothing. With no football on, everything seems to be at a bit of a loss. When there's a world cup or Euro year, the media dont seem to get so uptight about every little 'rumour' that 'occurs'. Whatever happened to just let the clubs get on with their business?

I love the way that The Arsenal deal in transfers. If we are interested in somebody, its because the other clubs/players tell the media, we keep it quiet. We know how much the media (newspapers) can twist what is said to make articles. Arsene knows. Why dont other clubs conduct in the same manner? If we sign a player, it is announced on the website, and that is the only way you know that it is true.

No rubbish to do with Joey Barton, or anyone else for that matter. Yes, we may be interested in them, yes, they may say Arsenal are a top four side, but that does not mean we are INTERESTED in them? How many players have we seriously put offers in for? I doubt its as many as the papers say we have.

Lets look at this Cahill story. I feel as though we are waiting upon Bolton to say a price, and we will then say what we think. We are also waiting upon Chelski and City to say £20+ or whatever he's supposedly worth.

Arsene understands that football cant last much longer the way in which it is going. He is a genius, but people cant see that. They feel the need for trophies is the most important thing? Yes i agree, but for me, the ability to win them in style. To win them in our style. To win them, knowing that we've done it on our own accord. No money bag sheiks, no rich Rushki. We can win it properly. We can win it, Arsene's way.

I for one, want him to stay at Arsenal and get the job done. He will complete it. My only worry is if Usmanov or Kroenke want him out first, in which we will join the debted clubs such as City, Chelsea, United, Madrid and Barca.

Everyone, get behind Wenger and trust in his signings, because he knows what he is doing

In Arsene, We Trust.

(im expecting a bit of stick for this post, but felt my opinion had to be said)

Been A Bit Quiet Really

Well, its a lovely sunny friday here in England at the minute. The grass is being cut all over the country, people are rushing to nearest supermarket to get their barbeque foods, and children are playing in the street playing football. Oh how i've missed football this week, to match the lovely week in which we seem to be having.

Anyway, back to The Arsenal. This whole week has been extremely quiet. Wenger has kept the lid tightly sealed on any news coming out of the training ground, and rightly so in my opinion. Arsenal needed a break, and Wenger is protecting the players as he usually does, takes the blow himself, and looks forward to the next game. The Blackburn game was a poor one. Arsene knows this, the players know this, but now its up to them to change the form we are currently in. They need to step up and be accounted for. Fabregas, Van Persie, Squillaci, Almunia, even Wilshere to some extent. They need to step-up their game and become the leaders in which we are desperate for in our team. Only Wilshere this year has really developed into a great prospect, and one in which is leading from the front. Fabregas has his moments, but he cant do it single handedly, he needs everyone to step up with him, otherwise he will leave, but now is not the time to talk about that.

Also today, looking through other blogs and any sort of interesting news that has arisen today and yesterday, it seems that Nasri has been nominated for young player of the year, and proffessional footballers player. What a great honour for him, but is it me, or has he not performed for a long time now? I'm sure he got a little niggling injury, and ever since he hasn't performed anywhere near the potential that we saw then. Now dont get me wrong, it could be that Wenger has told him to do things differently, i.e. playing him in the middle instead of the wing (or vise-versa), but that doesnt stop a player from shining, in which i think his sun is slowly setting the horizon (bad metaphor i know).

I'll save all of the news which is coming through about Wenger and second place being a success, because for me, following on from last year, second place is a success, and i hope we achieve that, because at the end of last year, none of us expected us to have been this close for so long in the season. And anyway it's not over yet.

My dad's off to Blackpool tomorrow, hopes to lap up a few of Blackpool's finest (obviously the rollercoaster's) and rest his head, in the hope we can destroy Blackpool on Sunday. Until Next Time!

Midweek Madness

Im not sure how to feel after lst night if im honest. When Adbayor scored his two goals, i celebrated, but i quickly hesitated. Was i wrong to celebrate?

After the game, iread an article on the world wide web somewhere that Adebayor said that the Arsenal fans still love him? now in my opinion, the picture below still lingers in my mind:
I was there that day, and never before have i hated one player soo much.
I was having a conversation with my dad yesterday about why we hated Adebayor soo much, as he seemed to have forgotten. He got tapped up by Milan with money, he made Arsenal offer him a bigger better (money) contract. The next season, he never put the same effort in, he was never the same player. Then the yar after, he goes to Man City because of their ambition *cough money cough*. Then the picture above happened, along with his stamping on Van Persie's face. What a great man he was. Now excuse me for disliking the man, but the things i said above is enough for any Arsenal fan to hate him.

So last night, he scores two, and near enough knocks Spurs out of the competition. Along with his celebration, which i have a feeling was towards his love for Arsenal, but anyway, i wasnt sure on whether to celebrate or not? This man, from being the most hated man, to being less of one.

Was my hate for Sp*rs stronger than that of my hate for Greedybayor?

Ohwell, not much news happening with Arsenal. After a bad result, we seem to keep things very quiet. Which is good in a way. The Arsenal website seem to just be running an interview with Conor Henderson. Great lad, but too young, and could do with a loan spell to get some much nedded experience.

Anyway, i dont care about tonight's game, not as much interest in it as last nights. Should be an enjoyable match, as long as both are shattered and are knackered for the week-end, and hopefully drop of points!

Until Next Time!

Boring Boring Arsenal!

I would like to start this blog with credit to Blackburn, they didnt come here to defend and look for a 0-0. Although, they didnt exactly attack either, but i think the reason why they came out of yesterday with a point has to be becasue of the way in which their two centrebacks and goalkeeper put their bodies on the line for their team. Everytime we had the ball in the air, everytime we passed it along the floor to the strikers, everytime the ball even went near the box, there was Samba and Nelson. I think the point that summed it up was when Chamakh had a chance to perhaps score within the box. The ball comes nicely across him, side foots it with pace, and there was Nelson (can be proved wrong), diving in front of the ball, similar to that of Terry when England played against U.S.A.. We were flat. There is no other way of putting it. No-one within our team wanted that game. Where was the desire? Where was the commitment? Even when Fabregas came on for 20 odd minutes, he looked like a laboured man. That was where and how Blackburn beat us all the time. We hate going up to Ewood park, not because of it being North, not because of the weather, but because of the commitment and desire their players have for their team. Once again, Arsenal have been cut short because we dont have that 'Leader'.

Well im glad that my moaning has finished. I can now look forward to watching Champs league without any worries in the week, we can look to hopefully all of our players becoming a bit sharper on the pitch, and for Nasri to sort his egghead out that he seemed to of picked up during yesterdays match...

Here's to a lovely rest of Sunday, and a lot of catching up on work to be done, due to my laziness on Friday and The Arsenal yesterday...Wonderful.

Until Next Time!

Injury News is Looking Good!

Now, us as Arsenal fans don't have the enjoyment of saying that we have a good looking side that is nearly all injury free. For the last few years, we have suffered time and time again at the hands of the injury gods, but for once, we could nearly be, dare i say, i full first team??

Obviously without the usual problems that make our Arsenal supporting hell such as the defence and the goalkeeping situation , but those problems can wait for a more depressing day. The sun is shining here in England at the moment, and i would like to forward in the hope that we can turn round this 'trophy-less' side that we have developed over the last few years, and turn it into a winning one.

Song, Walcott, Van Persie and Fabregas, are all back. Our midfield and strikers are looking at their most dangerous. Obviously we have Diaby and Denilson out at the minute, but i don't think they would fit into our first team anyway? Well they wouldn't....so no problems there. I think as long as we score more than we concede tomorrow then it will be a job done. We must make sure that we defend as a team, and take responsibility, as tomorrow i'm sure we are going to see dirty walrus tactics again even though he's not there manager anymore. They'll be sending Samba up at every opportunity, Robinson hoofing it from the half way line. We must deal with this, as a TEAM! Many a time this year we have seen our defence been pulled apart, or some players not putting their work-rate in. We need to defend like we did against Barca, and make sure every player is protected from the front, that way we can make sure that our only problems can come from the air.....(aah). Ohwell, what a way to scare me before i get ready for tonights shinanigans..Hear's to a wonderful Friday night, and good saturday morning, Most likely speak after the game, unless i find the time otherwise!

Until then...

Boring Boring Interlull....Horizon Nearing

Well then, lucky for me and you as readers, i have managed to remember my password for this blog. I am now able to start writing blogs about The Arsenal once more...

Now then, i think its best to start with the Internationals. We could all be here for hours discussing the pointlessness of such games, but luckily we dont have to as everyone already knows the problems with such idiotic games. All they are, are money-spinning boring games, in which allow all of the F.A's to earn a litle bit of extra cash, along with all of the injuries which come along with them. Luckily, it looks as though for once (fingers crossed), we have managed to come out of this week without any injuries, apart from a 'minor knock' on Van Persie. As long as he is fit for saturday, i dont have to start getting violent with the F.A.

Now that my 'mini' rant is over, i can now look forward to the Blackburn game. With it being a late kick off, we can enjoy a nice day of going to The Emirates, few bevy's, have a quick munch, and watch some enjoyable football from what looks like our first team?

I think that could possibly be one of the best bit of news in which we have had during this week, is that Fabregas, Walcott and Song have been training together, and look like they could be playing on saturday...This means we could have the same potential of output in attack as we had when we played against Wolves at home, when we looked our best, nad when we had everyone fit.

The problem with Blackburn is that of their long hoofs from Paul -wheres-the-ball-gone- Robinson, If our shaky defence and keeper can at least stop some of these, then we stand a chance against a crap side. As long as we score more than we let in, i will be happy with the three much needed points.

Well more to come, in-depth about the Blackburn game... Have yourself a nice rest of Thursday night, work hard tomorrow at work, school, wherever...and get charged up for Saturday.

Man City Preview

Well, we're nearing kick-off, the nerves are building up, the butterflies are bouncing around your stomach, it must mean this is an important match.

With United winning last night against a useless Stoke side, it seems to me as though this really is a must not lose game for both sides, especcially us. With United now having played the same amount of games as us, and we're five points behind them, by winning, we just re-place that pressure back onto them. If god forbid, we were to lose, then the we must start looking over our shoulders towards Chelsea and Sp*rs, as they seem to be quietly going about their business and winning games (minus Chelski). This is a must win game, no doubt about it.

Looking at the sides i think will start, it looks as though there is a complete contrast between the two sides. One majorly effective on the counter, with big physical players, and then the other, perhaps a bit weak at times, but with the ability to move the ball as fast as Usain Bolt around them. Last season it was the same. Man City turned up at the Emirates, hoping not to get beat. They played dull, boring football, which resulted in a 0-0 draw. Yawn.... This game has no chance of being the same. Both sides need a win, and cant lose, but a draw isnt great either.

Now, not just from a biased point of view, which i'll obviously give, but I feel The Arsenal will win this one. I think our confidence will start to ooze out of us, and once Walcott starts to rip shreds out of their defence, i expect Van Persie to lay it off for Nasri, who then almost does a ballot turn, to lay it off to Cesc, who will then score a delightful effort into the bottom corner (this was my dream last night).

Anyway, making our way to the game later on, few drinks in pub beforehand along with a meal in a delightful Italian, before making our way over to the game.

C'mon Arsenal!!!

Ramsey, Vela and Man City

Well, bank holiday's over, people are waking up at 6 and 7 o'clocks to get ready for work. How Depressing. Luckily with this rubbish system called teacher training, I get another day. WOOHOO!!!

Well, glad that's over with. Moving onto something a bit more constructive. Ramsey has finished his loan move, and now is returning back to The Arsenal. Due to that week with all the snow and everything, he hasnt got as much matches under his belt as everyone would have liked, but none the less, he's back playing football, which is a miracle in itself. As i said yesterday, i dont expect him to be playing a major role in this season, just a few sub appearances and maybe a few cup games, although the carling cup is nearly over. Get him prep'd and ready for next season.

In other news, Owen Coyle has said:

We have got a good relationship with Arsenal and Arsene. If you ask if Carlos is available and are Bolton interested the answer would be yes. Arsene will want any player going out on loan to be playing. His belief will be that Carlos Vela would come back to Arsenal a better player for experience.

This hints as though the deal is quite close, and now they're just niggling at little bits and bobs. I'd like to see Vela play for them actually. They did a great job with Wilshere, and hopefully they can do the same to Vela. Now Wenger is a clever man, he is either doing it for The Arsenal and the player, to make him better and get experience, or he his prepping the transfer linked Spanish clubs to see how he really plays, as he's not getting any game time at The Arsenal. I personally think the latter, but thats me.

Looking forward to the Man City game, it doesnt seem as though there is any injury news. Almunia is out for another 3 weeks, which coincides nicely with the transfer window dont you think?? I'll let you make up your own assumptions about that. But more on Man City tomorrow, i'm back at 11, from a hard day at sixth form, then off to watch The Arsenal give a sticking to all the dirty scummers at City, especcially Adeb***r.

Until Then.....

Boring Boring Bank Holiday's!

Well, here we are, start of a new year and we feel obliged to have a new bank holiday. With Arsenal playing on saturday, and now the upcoming Weds, there really isnt much to talk about in terms of Arsenal.

The transfer window re-opens, and a few of our loanees are returning. Vito Mannone is returning from Hull, which makes it more likely for Almunia to dissappear to Spain, whereby no-one is ever to see or hear from him again (probably for the best). Ramsey is retuning too. Now, i dont know how many games he has played exactly, but i know it is very little. SO when he returns, i dotn expect him to be anywhere near match fit, a few substitute appearances just to please the crowd and that will be it for him. I'm looking forward to having back fit and ready to make a real contibution to next season.

Now then, moving onto something a bit more 'juicy'. But with the ever apparent of the transfer rumours of Vela leaving Arsenal, it has come to my attention that Bolton are interested in him, whether it be on loan or to buy, but one thing that has come to my attention, is the idea of Gary Cahill becoming part of a player and cash exchange. With Coyle placing a £20 million price tag on him, it sounds as if, if the right offer was to come in, then he would depart with Cahill. Now this is just an idea, but what if we were to say give Vela and £7 million? for Cahill.

Sound Fair?

Anyway, looking forward to tomorrrow, where there may be a bit mroe news on the Man City game, and a bit more information in general on transfer dealings.

Get In There!!

Well, sorry about the late reply of the post, feeling the effects of a new years day party, which involves drinking champagne all day, instead of wasting our life away in pubs on new years eve, celebrating another minute of our life, with a new number at the end of the year. As you can tell, im not that fond of new years eve celebrations, and i feel sorry for all those people that stood outside in the freezing cold, just to see some fireworks that looked very nice in HD anyway? Very Strange.

Anyway, moving on to football.

What a side we are statring to look. I was shocked to see the Arsenal side that came out yesterday, showing the effort that they put in for the game, to come out and give them the result we all deserve. After the Wigan game, was nice to see the team that started against Chelsea start. That team, is slowly becoming our first team, and depending on the fitness of van persie and Djourou, i expect it to be the same against Man City.

As i look back on that game, i feel the way in which we bounced back from all of the ruggidness and hard tackling by Birmingham theoretically backfiring. Our football at times just out played Birmingham and they just couldnt handle us. The free flowing football of Cesc and Nasri, with the idea of Van Persie and Walcott atacking behind the defenders just frieghtened them off, and prevents them from attacking. This is why i feel Walcott, even if he doesnt seem to be as great as he should be at times, can possibly be such an important factor in big games. He prevents the attacking full backs, and agaisnt Man City, to see him getting behind the slow defence, it will be a delight to see.

What also is a delight to my ears, is the dirty horrible twat of a player Bowyer, got his abuse from the fans with the song "We've got Cesc Fabregas, You've Got Lee Bowyer". Along with the rumours that he is getting a probe into the incident where he stamped on Sagna. This should hopefully prevent him from stamping on a few players for the rest of his career, a couple of games.

Anyway, more tomorrow, on Man City and any other related news that may arise.
